Catch your Dream! Worlds often collide. Your creative dreams challenges you to be open, available and expressive while the nature of modern life often puts the breaks on your dreams. Everyday chores and work rob you of the ability to and fully release to your art. Allow your wildest dreams to come true. Rooted in the transformational Fitzmaurice Voicework, this inspirational, interdisciplinary, specific and rigorous training is for actors and other artist of all levels who are seeking to release themselves fully to their chosen area(s) of creative expression.

Expect quick, profound, lasting and ongoing results that are evidenced increased presence, and in spoken and physical communication that is effortless, authentic and flexible.

In addition to privates session and on going group classes, all workshops are available in 1-4 day formats. Bookings from groups of all sizes are welcomed. Performance can be combined with workshops. Training is always customized to address personal as well as group needs.

Your Heart's Voice: Voicework for All -
Fitzmaurice Voicework Introductory Weekend

This monthly workshop is for those new to Fitzmaurice Voicework. This is an opportunity for you to delve deeply into this inspirational and rigorous training. Over the course of a weekend you will learn the elements of Fitzmaurice Voicework to enable release your intellect and creativity through focused breath, movement, alignment and awareness work. You will leave the workshop with a renewed and honest relationship to your unique sound and physicality.

Sessions may include
• Physical journey of the voice
• Posture and alignment
• Discovering physical ease and natural response
• Discovering body relationship in movement
• Articulation and vocal support

Fitzmaurice Voice for Working Actors

Go deeper into this inspirational and rigorous training for artists who are ready to release their full creativity. The core of the work will address any blocks or holds through focused breath, movement, alignment and awareness work. With each class you will grow as an artist with a deeper connection to your unique sound and physicality.

DropInWorkOut: Voicework for the Fitzmaurice Community

These sessions provide support for those who have already experienced voice and performance training. Join this supportive group and continue to discover by exploring this inspirational and rigorous work.

Expand your capacity to say it from the heart! Your DropIn session will be guided, but you are free to work at our own pace on the areas where you feel you need to explore.

Sessions may include
• Physical journey of the voice
• Posture and alignment
• Physical ease and natural response
• Articulation and vocal support
• Text
• Singing
• Vocal support, dexterity and range
• Articulation and vocal support

This class is offered weekly. The DropIn format allows for students to come and go on an as needed basis (phone interview is required) but space is limited so reservations are required.

Speak from the Heart Move from the Center: Fitzmaurice Voice/Chekhov Movement

Inspirational, interdisciplinary, specific and rigorous training for performing artists who are ready to release their full creativity. The curriculum is taught in 5 group sessions. We will work from assigned as well as chosen texts. With each class you expand your vocal capability and deepen connection to your body as an expressive, storytelling instrument.

• Discovering body relationship in movement
• Articulation and vocal support

Actors Prepare: The MFA/BFA Audition Intensive

Actors Prepare: The MFA/BFA Audition Intensive Inspirational, interdisciplinary, specific and rigorous training for performing artists who are preparing to audition for professional school.

The 5-week, 7-session (5 semiprivate sessions and 2 private sessions) intensive is designed to help you audition at your highest level. The core of the work will be spent discovering your pieces then releasing them through focused breath, movement, alignment and awareness work. You will work on your specific audition selections. At the end of the intensive you will have two contrasting monologues for your MFA/BFA audition.

• Text analysis

• Using rhetorical structure
• Developing presence
• Rhetorical devices

This workshop is offered on a quarterly basis. Interview is required for admission. There is currently a waiting list for the course.

Dreaming Out Loud: The Solo Performance Intensive

This rigorous 4-day intensive awakens all your senses to the art of solo performance and professional development. The integrated and physical approach to solo performance addresses breathing, alignment, vocal placement, resonance, articulation and text. You will leave this workshop with an active and spontaneous connection between thought, breath, body and your original text. The workshop culminates with solo performances of a selection from your project.

Sessions may include
• Physical journey of the voice
• Guided journal work
• Discovering your text
• Heighten text and rhetoric
• Clowning
• Discovering your text
• Creating multiple characters.
• The archetypes, myth and heroes
• Exploring music and song
• Reflection and journal work
• Booking and touring

This workshop is co-taught with another professional educator and performer. There is a waiting list for the course. This workshop is offered in semiprivate environments only. Interview is required. Please contact to be added to the waiting list.
